Question Farmin' For Skill Points

I've been looking but my Google-fu is weak and I don't wanna look anymore. Hell, I ain't even sure where to put this thread. So answer my question, or point me to a thread, whatever.

I have a Me/N and a R/W and I want to farm skill points to get them all skills. Why? 1) I'm bored, 2) there's not much else to do and 3) 'cuz I wants to.

Only thing is, what critters do I farm for optimal results (time spent vs. xp rewarded) or a build to use. I had a lot of success with my E/Mo getting 60 or so SPs from the Minos at Elona's, but again, no good build and I was never good at making decks in M:tG, so making builds in GW isn't any easier for me.

I was going to say troll cave, but that's a better answer.

Could take a long time to do those quests with no guarantee a group would get through...

pretty much every group gets thru usual forgemaster route... and that is 5x 5-10k xp quests. You think you can do it faster?

I take my mes through Sorrow's Furnace with henchmen for skill points. I only do Political Ramifications and Subversive Ideas. I'm probably on the slow side, but last time I timed the run, I took under 2 hours starting from War Camp (then again, working with henchies requires extra time). I've done the run with 1 other player before and was able to do the run closer to 1 hour (working with hench is much easier with 2 people since 1 person can pull while the other keeps the henchies back).

for rangers its almost obvious to do the pet/barrage thing in ToPK
as for a Me/N goto UW and dou farm, you'll get XP and some profit hopefully.

downside we dont always have favor...

maybe solo 55 hydras with IW... who knows.

the trolls thing is a good way to do it since your fast casting would be pretty high i doubt you'd get innterupted.

My friend runs a Me/Mo atm and hes got all ele/necro/monk and most ranger skills...

I would 55 those trolls with scrolls...(with your mesmer)

Well, If you've got the money to spend 1k per skill you unlock, then you should find a build that can take on simply farms like trolls or griffons, and buy xp scrolls. I lvl'd my necro using a modified 55 build from lvl 13 to lvl 20 in half an hour using the double xp scroll for 10 minutes. Cost me a couple K for the scrolls, but the rate i was getting xp at was AMAZING. I mean, at least 5k xp for ever 5-10 minute run. plus i got to keep any loot. Of course, you can even top it with the triple xp scroll, but it'll cost you a lil more since it doesn't last nearly as long. IF you go with the triple xp, you should be able to make 6-7.5k xp in a single troll run, but you may have to take 2 scrolls per run, as the quickest i can do it is by taking on 2 large groups of trolls in a run. wow, now i gotta get back to my paper... and hope this helps.

I have found the fastest way to gain xp is with the 3x xp scrolls and the trolls outside droks. Use the scrolls right before everything starts to die and it usually nets around 6k xp. I use a 55 mo/me for the trolls so a 55 me/mo should work also.

Default same problem....

so i got the same issues, however, i am trying to get my Mes/N around 4-5 skill points to get few skills for a build i wanna try...

so that being said, where would one goto, other than the sorrows furnace quest suggested earlier, to gain the highest xp per kill quickly without the ability to go with a 55 build?

also i noticed that when i take my 55 necro out and kill hydras i net around 136xp...but i take out 3 henchies and get around 30xp? (or am i halucinating again)

the only thing i can come up with is beloved desert and a grip of scrolls

Experience, as with loot, is divided (equally) among all party members. Although I don't know how Henchmen would level-up...dunno if that's possible.

I 55 with my Mes/Mo and have no trouble whatsoever with the Trolls outside Droks...if you want fast xp with a 55 build thats the best place I know of to go.

Trolls outside Droknar's Forge are very fast way to earn XP via 55hp or Warriors.

For Rangers Grawls in Witman's Folly via EoE build is good. And ice imps & siege golems outside Ice Caves of Sorrow is another pretty good spot for ranger.

With ranger Ice imps/Ice golems outside ice caves of sorrow.

Very easy to run build, and i get about 70% exp from half an hour run.

Ummm... I dunno if you've already done the easy missions in the ascalon area - but thats 2k XP a pop and those are way easy!

im sure the OP had done all the missions instead of just being ran all the way to droks from ascalon city! its common sense that the fastest way to get xp without soloing or power leveled is to simply do the missions and bonuses!

And the missions in ascalon area aren't repeatable! unlike missions given by glint after you beat the game!
